...politics and religion
The IMA seeks a level playing field by
insulating its
governing body from outside influences. Membership determines policies
and voting outcome and procedures. This organization is conceived and
designed on the premise of separation of church and state.
While
Irish music will always have a place in religion, religion has no place
in the function and operation of this organization, website, and
related sub sites. Likewise, where Irish music has its place
in
politics, politics has no place or bearing on the operation, function,
decision making process of this organization.
Membership is
the guiding body that determines the course of this journey to
preserve, and promote Irish music in all its forms throughout
the world.
...legalities
The Irish Music Association is not a
mediating body.
