Mt Great Uncle Pete Curran from Tinure County Louth Ireland played the warpipes during my childhood. He was on the Irish radio and when he died they broadcast a tribute to him on RTE. I seem to recall he used the ring of a round steak to repair one of the pipes.

Hi! My name is erik and I've recently started to play Highland bagpipe, but I'm also interested in those irish warpipes. Is the notescale the same for those as it is for the Highland bagpipe?

Our Society celebrates all the Celtic tribes. We study and support the Scots, Irish, Welsh, Manx, Cornish, Breton and Galician Cultures. We give free lessons for the highland pipes to members and free Scottish Gaelic lessons free to members at present. We welcome anything Irish as well. we have a library also which members are free to check out materials. It woul be nice to link with your site.
Regards,
Dusty
